What to Do
- Arrive 15-20 minutes early to settle in and compose yourself
- Bring multiple copies of your resume (5-6) even if they have it
- Research recent deals the bank has worked on and be ready to discuss them
- Prepare bank-specific "Why this bank?" and "Why this group?" answers
- Have 3-5 thoughtful questions for each interviewer
- Send personalized thank-you emails within 24 hours
- Stay energetic and engaged throughout the entire day
- Treat everyone professionally, including junior bankers and support staff
What to Avoid
- Being late or arriving without buffer time
- Letting energy drop after lunch or later in the day
- Badmouthing other banks or companies
- Being unprepared for technical questions
- Asking about compensation or hours in early interviews
- Using your phone during breaks when others might see
- Being overly casual during lunch with junior bankers
- Forgetting interviewer names or mixing up details
